In 2011, an exhibition featuring the work of John Frame opened at The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. In “Happy Medium,” commissioned by the Huntington, filmmaker Johnny Coffeen explores the artist’s process. The house/studio as it appears in the film is largely the work of the artist’s own hands.
